Re: Two Airbus A320 (AP-BMV & AP-BMY) Aircraft Due to Join PIA Fleet
What PIA really needs at this point is 4-5 A321's. Its a big leap from the A320 to the 777-200 and they should have a medium density sized a/c in the fleet as well. Used A330-200's do not seem possible hence the A321 would fill the gap quite well b/w the A320 and 772.

Re: Two Airbus A320 (AP-BMV & AP-BMY) Aircraft Due to Join PIA Fleet
I met up with Capt Johnny Sadiq earlier this evening and he told me something quite surprising. He said he had met with the regional head of Airbus who was visiting Khi from Bahrain and they are in talks with PIA to acquire the A220 alongwith a simulator to become the only airline in the region to offer A220 simulator training.
Its possible they met with PIA officials around the time Alvir Airways showed interest in the A220. Being a 120 seater they could find use for them on those ME sectors where there is minimal frequency such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha etc. Airbus already has their A350 demonstrator in Dhaka to show airline execs and it will visit India as well, so its possible Airbus has its teams covering the South Asian region.

Re: Two Airbus A320 (AP-BMV & AP-BMY) Aircraft Due to Join PIA Fleet
PIA should explore possibility of inducting/leasing A220-100 aircraft instead of ATR's, and should return all of the ATRs, and work with CAA to make sure that every regional Airfield currently handling ATR operation should very least be able to handle A220-100 operation as well.
All of such Airfields can handle A220-100, but i am not sure about CJL and GIL.
As I said this before, here : https://historyofpia.com/forums/viewtop ... c7#p203440

The A320 is not a 200 series but a -200 variant, at time of Airbus A320 launch, it was produced as -100 variant and later with wingtip fences upgraded to -200 variant. Though currently 2 main types of A320s are in operations, A320ceo (classic engine option) and A320neo (new engine option). However, PIA is operating and acquiring all A320ceo model, yet to acquire A320neo (could be due to high leasing rates as the neo is more fuel efficient)

I hope this plane is not in MEA colors.
PIA should convert the new arrivals into PIA colors become inducting them to the regular flights.
Nice to see a simple Euro white with PIA on the tail and PAKISTAN on the main fuselage.
