Pakistan will acquire a total of five agricultural aircraft on lease to fight desert locusts. Out of these five aircraft, one already has been acquired on lease from Turkey.
The aircraft acquired on lease for six months from Turkey is Piper PA-36 Pawnee Brave (registration TC-ZKM) that was transported from Turkey to Pakistan by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Lockheed C-130E Hercules (aircraft serial number 4189) in May this year.
The agricultural aircraft has been acquired on lease for six months.
Separately, Pakistan will also purchase six agricultural aircraft to fight desert locusts.
