Apparently CAA are refusing to give them the slots they had prior to Covid-19, saying they are unavailable and so instead of giving Pak CAA backhanders / bribes they have pulled the plug for now.
Are you sure it is due to asking for bribes.

Due to operational reason few slots are available and getting desired slot could be difficult?

Hearing something is different to having evidence to the claims adamalikhan states, we just dont know the reason why emirates have pulled out in the mean time unless emirates comes and tells us.

I feel EK has made a good decision. No need to encourage this behaviour by bribing the incompetent, corrupt and unqualified donkeys running the show at CAA.

With that being said, CAA officials have absolutely no shame and they will continue to do this even after an agreement is reached and operations are restored.

For those wanting some context to adamalikhan's post, please watch Mubashir Luqman's video here ---> Link

He has exposed PIA and CAA recently with the PK 8303 crash, with evidence as well. I trust him and his sources to be correct.

Emirates will never actually tell us the specifics of the agreement they have with CAA, or the dirty under-the-table deal that CAA officials are trying to get with them.

Restricting flights to Pak because of COVID is absurd, EK is flying to so many cities with higher COVID cases than Pak, including US and many European cities.

What CAA doesn't realize is by forcing Emirates to make a decision like this, they lose out on even more money since EK is not paying any landing / parking fees due to suspension of flights.

Sadly every issue in this country has to be brought to the attention of the PM because the department overseeing it is too corrupt or incompetent to sort it out on its own. It's like running to the principal at school because some kid took your pencil.

What a shame.

From June 27, passengers departing from Pakistan on international flights will also undergo strict screening process against COVID-19.

Passenger will go through thermal scanner.

Passenger's temperature will be checked with infrared thermometer

Passengers with fever and COVID-19 symptoms will be questioned by health officials at the airport.

Health officials will have authority to offload passenger with COVID-19 symptoms.

Apparently, these steps will encourage foreign airlines to operate international passenger flights from Pakistan.

Ok I am confused.

These airlines flying into Pakistan are they carrying passengers both ways???

For example Emirates who was lifting passengers from Lahore, was also bringing passingers in??

The closed the mosques in the muslim countries, including Saudi. The azaan was changed in Kuwait to say 'pray in your house' - rather than 'come to prayer'. So it can be done and is allowed.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said to remain where there is an outbreak, do not spread it. By travelling around, one is spreading it. Similarly, the UAE & KSA is simply dumping Poor Pakistani workers back to Pakistan - knowing full well the best place (and according to Islam) is to remain where they are until it is safe. Do not spread the disease, but also dont travel to the land where there is disease...

Emirates is resuming flight from 1st of july but covid 19 test will be essential for all travellers leaving Pakistan.
Chughtai Lab test will be acceptable. I just Rang alfatah travel in Lahore and they have confirmed this to me as well. I have got official documents from emirates stating covid test is essential but don't know how to post it .Emirates helpline in Pakistan is shut today but they have sent info to travel agents.
