It is for the information of general public and specially for the parents of those students who are currently studying in Wuhan City and Hubei Province of China that in order to update the parents, a briefing on the current situation in China is scheduled to be held on February 19, 2020 (Wednesday) at 2:00 PM at the Auditorium of OPF Girls College, F-8/2, Park Road, Islamabad.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Dr. Zafar Mirza along with their Federal Secretaries and the concerned officers will brief the participants/parents of the students who are currently studying in China.

In Islamabad today, upset parents of Pakistani students studying in China protested and surrounded Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr. Zafar Mirza to demand evacuation of their children from China. Parents are willing to pay airfare/evacuation charges/fees.

NDMA to send 14-tonne ready-to-eat meal for students in Wuhan

ISLAMABAD, Mar 18 (APP): National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Wednesday announced to send 14 tonnes of ready-to-eat meal for Pakistani students stuck in Wuhan city of China.
The government decided to provide cooked food items to Pakistani students based in Wuhan where NDMA was assigned the task to manage the process, said spokesperson of NDMA in a statement.
In this regard, Secretary Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Engineer Aamir Hasan had handed over a cash cheque of Rs 21.5 million to the Chairman NDMA for providing food to Pakistani students.
The aircraft carrying the food items would depart from Islamabad on Friday.

Today, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Ilyushin Il-78MP Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) (aircraft serial number R11-004) transported relief goods including 17 tonnes of ready-to-eat meals for Pakistani students in China unable to travel due to COVID-19. The relief goods were arranged by Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
The aircraft will return to Pakistan from China with material/equipment to fight COVID-19.

Today, PIA Boeing 777-200ER (aircraft registration AP-BMH) arrived in Islamabad at 8:14 PM as rescue flight PK8872 from Wuhan.
The aircraft repatriated 274 Pakistani students who were stranded in Wuhan/China due to COVID-19 crisis and suspension of international flights.
More such PIA flights from Wuhan are being planned to repatriate remaining students.

On June 5, PIA Wuhan to Islamabad filght PK8872 performed by Boeing 777-200ER registration AP-BMH repatriated 272 Pakistanis mostly students.
