Established in May 1993, the airline operated only two daily flights from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad. Today, Aero Asia now operates nearly 450 flights on its international and domestic networks. In just seven years, Aero Asia has attained the position of the largest private airline in Pakistan. Domestic flights operate between Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, and Faislabad. Aero Asia's continued expansion makes aircraft upgrade and improvement an on-going concern. Its present fleet, the largest after the national carrier, comprises 04 BAC-1-11 and 04 YAK-42D aircraft. In view of its current needs and future growth plans, the airline is working on a fleet optimization program to replace its smaller, low-passenger-capacity aircraft with planes that can meet its future expansion needs in terms of size, range and latest technology. To this end, the airline is evaluating various versions of Boeing-737 and Airbus for the fleet's upgrade.
