Aero Asia Ranked 46th among top 100 Airlines

Post by piafan »

Aero Asia was ranked 46th amongst the top 100 airlines in the region. For a seven-year-old private airline, that is high flying indeed!
Aero Asia International

As Aero Asia's General Sales Agent in Canada, Trade Wind Associates proudly introduces travellers to the tradition of Pakistani hospitality. Aero Asia - the "First Choice" of Pakistan - offers travellers the highest standards of customer service and facilities both on the ground and in the air.

Established in May 1993, the airline operated only two daily flights from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad. Today, Aero Asia now operates nearly 450 flights on its international and domestic networks. In just seven years, Aero Asia has attained the position of the largest private airline in Pakistan. Domestic flights operate between Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, and Faislabad. Aero Asia's international network includes flights to Dubai, Abu-Dhabi, Al-Ain, Muscat and Doha from all major cities in Pakistan. Since its inception, Aero Asia has carried over 7 million passengers.

There are many reasons for Aero AsiaÃ's successful and rapid growth. It is the only private airline that has its own-trained cockpit and cabin crew. It also maintains its own well-equipped ground-handling set-up at various airports in Pakistan and is the only IATA approved private airline in Pakistan. Aero AsiaÃ's CAA approved Training Centre in Karachi is the first such facility to be set up by any private airline. It is also the only private airline that has its own in-house engineering facility.

Customer service at Aero Asia is top priority. A fully automated reservation system streamlines sales, passenger and cargo handling services. Modern ticketing and check-in systems record and display up-to-the minute flight details across the network. It is the only airline that has been awarded "ISO-9002" designation. In a survey published by "Airline Business" a reputable British magazine, Aero Asia was ranked 46th amongst the top 100 airlines in the region. For a seven-year-old private airline, that is high flying indeed!

Aero Asia's continued expansion makes aircraft upgrade and improvement an on-going concern. Its present fleet, the largest after the national carrier, comprises 04 BAC-1-11 and 04 YAK-42D aircraft. In view of its current needs and future growth plans, the airline is working on a fleet optimization program to replace its smaller, low-passenger-capacity aircraft with planes that can meet its future expansion needs in terms of size, range and latest technology. To this end, the airline is evaluating various versions of Boeing-737 and Airbus for the fleet's upgrade.

Lets hope their evaluation of Airbus and Boeing a/c doesn't break PIA's record of indecisiveness.

They also need a new corporate identity.

the keyword is 46th in the REGION...region = Asia ...being #46 is quite bad when 9W and S2 are in the top 25!!!

Apparently this website is providing outdated information. AeroAsia stopped operating YAK-42s and BAC-1-11s some years ago and replaced them with leased 737-200s, DC-9s and MD-83s.

Being 46th in Asia is no real accomplishment. I laughed when it said "Aero Asia - the "First Choice" of Pakistan - offers travellers the highest standards of customer service and facilities both on the ground and in the air."
