PM and President use..?

Post by hasan saleem »

When the president of PM travel out of pakistan they usually use PIA AP-BEQ for long hual or the 737 for short haul. what aircrats do they use while travelling domestic. I am guessing the president uses Cessna 560 Citation V, Pak army. He used this when he went to afghanistan in november.

The Fedral government has a falcon jet

The Provincial Govt of Balushidtan has a Learjet AP-BEK
The Provincial Govt of NWFP has a Cessna 421
The Provincial Govt of Sind one Cessna 441 Conquest and one C-Citation Bravo
The Provincial Govt of punjab have one Beechjet 400/A
one Cessna 441 Conquest

Do the CMs and Governors of the respective provinces use the following aircrats for their official travel?

Sorry Hasan, I don't know much about operations of Provincial Governments' VIP aircraft but I have got photos of some of the aircraft mentioned in your post. Here are some of them:

Image
Dassault Falcon (serial# J-753) of PAF. I have seen Pakistani Presidents and Prime Ministers using this one for flights within Pakistan. And if I remember correctly, it was also used for VVIP flights to regional countries like Saudi Arabia on some occassions.

This is ill-fated VIP Fokker F-27 (serial# 10254) of PAF. It crashed near Kohat in year 2003. Air Chief Marshal Mushaf Ali Mir and 16 others died in this crash.

Here's another VIP Fokker F-27 (serial# J-752) of PAF. I remember Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali using it for flights within Pakistan. It also flew Pakistani Foreign Ministry officials on diplomatic missions to Kabul during Afghan conflict.

Government of Punjab's Cessna 441 (AP-BCQ) visiting Zurich for maintenance checks in year 2003. Note Punjab Government emblem on aircraft's tail and engine cover - Copyright Peter Frei

Government of Baluchistan's Learjet 31A (AP-BEK) in UAE.

Well BEQ isnt fix but we usually see the BEQ doing the VVIP flights most of the time. Maybe cause its the only A310 in PIA fleet which have the has the flat business class seats, same seats which are on the 777.

I believe once PIA's youngest A310 (registration AP-BEU) is refurbished and painted in new colors it will get back VVIP flights duty from AP-BEQ.
