I think previously PIA use to charge the fares in dollars, and did not sell any aisle seats.
This route to developed to use the VIP 737. Initially people criticized Nawaz Sharif for buying the $36 million jet, and keeping it parked in Islamabad most of the time.
At that point someone came up with this idea to use the aircraft for the Air Safari flights, operating once every 15 days. After a while this flight was cancelled, and eventually so was Nawaz Sharif.

If I'm not mistaken, aisle seats were sold at half price and only to people accompanying a window seat paying passenger. Also, the third row in economy was blocked off as there was no window adjacent to that seat.Amaad Lone wrote:I think previously PIA use to charge the fares in dollars, and did not sell any aisle seats.
