Transit for elderly relative in middle east

Post by wajidiqbal84 »

Hello,

Just wondering if someone has faced a similar issue. My mother is 66 years old and in good health generally.

She is planning to to travel from Peshawar to London alone. She doesn't speak English. Can she transit easily through a middle eastern airport ? How do I book her an assistant to take her to the next gate.

She will be traveling economy.

Or should I book her in the more expensive PIA.

I used the "Marhaba" service about five years ago for my mother when she had to travel to New York via Emirates, our preference was also PIA but could not find seats. The idea was that the Marhaba rep would collect her from the arrival gate in Dubai and take her to the next departing gate but it didn't happen that way. I have heard that the service has now improved a lot but can't say for sure. You should check http://www.marhabaservices.com/english/ ... meet-greet and ask these questions specifically if that option is available.
