No I disagree with you. These are the same seats as etihad. I have travelled with etihad many time on their business class. Also emirates. They both are really comfortable.Agar commission hai but still comfort bhi hai so always look at the positive side

As far as I know EK and EY never used AVIOINTERIOR'S EVA model seats.

Tender notice In today's (February 18) newspaper:

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is seeking Supplemental Type Certificate (STC)/Integrator/Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) for retrofit and installation of seats/In-flight entertainment (IFE) on its Boeing 777 fleet as PIA is upgrading its Business Class with new messrs Stelia Solstys seats (proposed layout of passenger accommodation - LOPA for new Business Class will be provided with tender documents) vis-a-vis PIAC is also upgrading its existing Panasonic 3000/3000i IFE system with eXK to provide Business Class with eX3 experience and X-series type IFE system experience for S3Ki premium Economy Class and Economy Class (seats in Economy Class will remain same).

Retrofit proposal from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approved design organisations, having experience in similar type of projects on Boeing 777 aircraft, are required for performing Business Class upgradation and IFE upgrade (eXK) on nine PIA Boeing 777 aircraft (four Boeing 777-200ER, two Boeing 777-200LR and three Boeing 777-300ER).

* FAA STC offering will be preferred for mentioned upgrade.

* First prototype needed to be modified at integrator/design organisation's own facility.

* Estimated cost can be broken down into three headings:

a) Engineering and certification.
b) Modification kit.
c) Completion services at MRO facility.

First of all I on behalf of PIA want to thank you for being a regular customer of our national Carrier and giving us the valuable feed back for PIA to improve its services.

You would be glad to know that Prime Minister gave the approval new flat bed seats on all 11 777.These seats are from sogerma ( France) and the contract was signed some time back.inshallah the new seats would be installed in phases as and when the aircraft go in for C check and the seats are available to be installed.kindly bear with us for a few months.Also you would be glad to know that on these aircraft we would have the latest in flight entertainment with wi if and Internet.

The bread and butter of PIA is its economy class.

Most people who can afford business class tickets do not fly PIA.

PIA needs to upgrade its economy class entertainment system and bathrooms.

If you're not gonna upgrade they're never going to fly. You can't just give up on Business class passengers. If Business class is improved, I'm sure no one would want to fly the ME3 via the ME and add 7 hrs or so into their journey.

One business class passenger pays about twice the economy fare.
