First FSX full Flight - OPKC -OEJN
First FSX full Flight - OPKC -OEJN
Hi guys, after a looong absence setting up my new rig in FSX, I finally has a chance to do a "test flight" from Karachi to Jeddah. I flew the whole flight but for some weird reason FSACARS stopped logging the flight but remained open. Anyway as usual I posted screens along the way. Hope you all Enjoy. Warning quite a few pics
Parked at gate, view from the cockpit windows.
Another view
AP-BFT in the foreground
Engine no.1 on AP-BAK
AP-BGL to the right
Pushing back
View from OPKC tower
Taxi to 25L
Entering the Active
Lined up ready to go. Morning sun blazing in the backround.
Rolling
Gear up climbing over the early morning mist.
Turning to MELOM - not really a good representation of Karachi????
Leaving the Karachi coast.
Engine spinning away
AP-BAK climbing into the Sky
A view of the skies above
Cruising @ FL360
View from OPJI tower of AP-BAK cruising en-route.
Turning to next waypoint
Beginning of descent
Still descending..
Given Vectors for 34R turning onto approach path.
On Approach waiting for Autopilot to capture GS/LOC
AP did not capture anything so I decided to hand fly the approach, AT on with clear weather, max visibility ( was fun)
Outside view
Main gear down .
Nose gear view.
Approach view
Closer
Wing view - No grass In Jeddah ??? - how FSX is wrong sometimes.
over the Threshold
Bit to the right
Main gear... looks like I landed on the taxiway but this is an FS9 scenery that I imported into FSX with No runway markings as a result
Touchdown into a headwind
Nose gear down.
Reversers armed, spoilers deployed.
Vacating the active
The long taxi to stand at Jeddah
Nice spread of different Airlines
A310 taking off.
AP BAK offloadiing Pax and Cargo.
Hoe you all enjoyed - Comments welcome. Happy Landings All

Fantastic Shots.Applause for you. =D> =D> @ questions from me,If youuse the WOAI for traffic ,then how did you put in the new livery for B777.And 2nd question is where did you get the Saudia Airlines traffic?
Happy Landings
Re: First FSX full Flight - OPKC -OEJN
I dont use all the WOAI packages but instead use Custom AI as I am an AI "nut" I like to have current paints on my ai aircraft.
search for pia_fleet_nc_2010.zip on avsim thats the file name and drag and drop the textures into your ai aircraft folders.
A310, 772, 773 new colours are included in this pack.
The Saudi Ai was in a package I downloaded
Saudi Cargo

Saudi Airlines PAX

salaam imran,
What comp specs do you have to run FSX and all the other sceneries?
are they on full settings?

Re: First FSX full Flight - OPKC -OEJN
Salam Arif
My specs core i7 920 overclocked to 3.5ghz, Nvidia GTS8800 640mb, 6gb ram. Intel DX58SO motherboard, 500gb HDD.
No computer can run FSX to its full potential without spending silly amounts of money - my settings are on med high but not all maxed out its simply not possible, apparently FSX coding was not very good hence no matter what processor you have it will not use all availalbe resources or cores.
I made the "plunge" due to the extra eye candyin FSX - I think FSX is best for VFR and low and slow flying and FS9 should be used for jets.
Anyway if need any more info hints and tips on setting up FSX drop me a line.
