Contrails over Lahore

Post by nutsforplanes »

Today ( Feb, 2nd) at around 5:45 pm, I saw contrails of what looked like a B747 with three small planes around it, heading West.

Was it the plane of Saudi king leaving Pakistan, being escorted by PAF fighters?

I am in Faisalabad these days, I saw number of contrails making planes every day... I've taken some pictures of them as well and will post them soon as I get back to Islamabad.

I cannot acctually figure out what planes and airlines are those? Are they international or domestic one?

Probably International, unless they are from KHI doing domestic flights to LHE or ISB

Although I can't say for sure that PAF fighters were escorting this particular aircraft, it is the policy of PAF to escort aircraft of foreign leaders into and out of Pakistani air space. Or atleast I know for a fact that it was in the past, as my Uncle lead many such flights when he was a Squardon Leader flying F-16s out of Kamra.
