Shaheen Air increases flights

Post by Abbas Ali »

KARACHI: Shaheen Air, with a fleet of four Boeing 737 aircraft, has increased its international flight frequencies with effect from January 20.

According to the new schedule, flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Kuwait and Doha from Karachi, Lahore & Peshawar have been increased to forty-two per week. The direct flights are planned point to point at convenient timings to facilitate Shaheen Air Passengers and Interline Customers.

Shaheen Air is further planning to expand its domestic and international operations in a short span of time. The airline’s spokesman, Farooq Nasir informed that as a result of permissions given by the Government of Pakistan to fly to the US and UK, Shaheen Air was expected to start operations to UK in May this year.

After finalising the market research and feasibility studies for route expansion, airline has considered various long haul, fuel efficient, wide bodied, modern and comfortable aircraft, in line with its operational and commercial requirements for each route and thus finally decided to induct appropriate number of Boeing 767s in its fleet by April, he said.
