PIA has yet to decide about a perfect livery! Strange enough for a pioneer airline to be so indecisive on a trivial issue !
Actually livery of an airline should always be "Professional". Why bring this nationalism ( Pakistani flag) and now rumoured " Provincialism" into the fuselage of the aircraft??? What for?
After all how many top rated airlines have ethnic colours? British Airways tried, experimented and failed! They have reverted to their union jack flag now!
PIA should stick to its " Trade MarK" and that is the PIA written in Urdu. Unfortunately in the present livery that Urdu PIA has been reduced to nothing behind the cockpit windows!
PIA has been cheaply copying liveries of other airlines such as Lufthansa in 1970s , SAS in the 1990s, EL--AL Israel currently and now it wants to mimick British Airways failed endeavour if at all it is true!
I hope PIA comes up with a truly traditional cum futuristic design for its state of the art aircraft! It should revive green colour with bright golden with Urdu PIA in huge font!

Interesting info Charliedelta11, love to see what the new livery will look like?!Charliedelta11 wrote:i'll ask her about the titles...but she told me the livery was amazing..and it was something she would feel proud of if seen abroad..
BTW, are there four completely different designs to represent the provinces ? Or is it one livery with four tails ?

Mike: Thanks for the feedback! Well most of us believe the flag on the tail could be better implemented than it is currently. What is your opinion on the flag.VC10 wrote:Greetings to all in Pakistan
As an Australian I may be unqualified to comment on the livery issue, but I thought it may be of interest to forum members to know that myself and the majority of my Aussie aviation mates rate the current PIA livery as one of the world's best!

cheetah, taste differs, charliedelta's freind liked it, alot of us dont like the present scheme, while VC10 and his mates who happen to be foreigners adore it, I didnt like the 90's livery, many people loved it, I'm sure there are others who depsised the pashmina scheme for being too white, insaan kissee haal may khush nahi, if 3M are doing the application it means that its decals that are being used, right?
PIA's present livery to me is only tolerable on the 777 it was designed for that aircraft and was modified for it as well, there fore its looks insipid on the rest of the fleet.

Hi CoyBoy
Greetings and peace for the new year. You seem to be advocating a retro-style livery, an idea which certainly has its merits ( my favourite livery of all time is the BOAC 'Speedbird' livery of the 1960s ). What would you and the other forum members think of a stylised tail flag akin to that used by South African Airways. As you quite correctly say, all these things are subjective.
Regards, Mike.
