Lufthansa Keen on Resuming Flight Operations in Pakistan After 13 Years

Image

Islamabad: September 14, 2021 -
During a meeting between Secretary Board of Investment (BOI), Fareena Mazhar and high level business delegation from Germany, the business delegate representing Lufthansa shared that Lufthansa was really keen on resuming flight operations in Pakistan after 13 years. He shared that Lufthansa earlier halted operations due to commercial reasons but is interested to start flights for passengers as well as cargo. The Secretary, in response to this, offered to arrange a meeting with the Minister for Aviation to ensure that the plan materializes.

The prospect of this development was earlier discussed in a meeting between the Secretary and German Ambassador H.E. Bernhard Stephan Schlagheck held on September 08.

When are we likely to see the maiden flight?
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion,

It would be great if they offer a rail connection included in the ticket. In Austria some trains have a "flight number" from origin train station to the airport. That would make a lot of sense.

Although Frankfurt has a good Pakistani community to my knowledge, LH could also consider Munich so it can be attractive for people going to Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and even Hungary.
