Due to parking constraint at Islamabad International Airport - Islamabad, all non-scheduled flight operators are requested to kindly plan flights to/from Islamabad International Airport after proper slot coordination. Long duration of aircraft parking also not available at Islamabad International Airport
Pakistan also preparing transit lounges at airports of Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar for passengers evacuated from Afghanistan for their onward journey through Pakistan.
Islamabad Airport already handling such flights and passengers.
Looks like BA/ VS will have to revise their schedules as BA in particular staying on the ground at ISB for up to 21 hours (03:00 arrival and doesn’t leave till the next morning 00:20).

For the time being evacuation flights will continue through Islamabad Airport. Efforts will be made to make departure of evacuees in least possible time from Islamabad Airport. The evacuees will be accommodated in hotels in Islamabad only when required necessarily.

Meanwhile, sixteen Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) female personnel have been transferred to FIA Immigration and Anti-Human Smuggling (I&AHS) wing at Karachi Airport Arrivals for 15 days in connection with current situation in Afghanistan.
From August 16 to 26, more than 20,800 people evacuated from Afghanistan through Islamabad International Airport as transit point with 332 military & civilian aircraft flights.
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to collect PKR 107,000,000/- (one hundred seven million rupees) from operators of 297 flights of aircraft that transported passengers evacuated from Afghanistan through Islamabad International Airport.
