National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) intends to buy six agricultural aircraft, preferably all brand new. The aircraft can also be offered in combination of 66% new and maximum 33% used aircraft. All offered aircraft must be of similar type and configuration. The used aircraft must be incident free, fully operational and not to be more than five years old and preferably should have more than 75% of life remaining till first airframe and engine overhaul.
Essential avionics package of the aircraft should include navigational equipment, night flying capability, landings aids, communications equipment with Automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast (ADS–B) transponder, track map Global Positioning System (GPS), VVI, RA, Auto Pilot (optional). Environmental control system, pitot heating, Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) or any equivalent system. AmSafe aviation inflatable pilot restraint system or any equivalent to ensure pilot safety.
It is be noted that internationally recognized role specific designed agricultural aircraft such as Air Tractor - USA is being considered as a reference here. Being an open competitive tender, any alternate internationally recognized role specific designed agricultural aircraft other make/model meeting or exceeding the reference specifications will be considered by the procuring agency.
