Valuable information received from recorders for probe: Airbus
RAWALPINDI: Airbus, the manufacturer of A320 aircraft, has said that the AIT (accident information transmission) on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-8303, which crashed in Karachi on May 22, has been approved for release by the Pakistan Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) and the French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis (BEA) for Civil Aviation Safety.
Airbus said in a tweet: “The Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) were read out and analysed at BEA facilities in Paris France under the leadership of the Pakistan AAIB with participation from EASA, Safran Aircraft Engines (on behalf of CMF) and Airbus. Both recorders FDR and CVR provided valuable information for the investigation.”
It further said that based on the preliminary analysis of the available data (accident site information, ATC record, FDR and CVR), Airbus has no specific safety recommendation to raise at this stage of investigation.

Would a pilot from IFALPA or THY satisfy PALPA's demand?

As the findings of investigation are leaning towards pilot error, PIA/CAA and the government now taking measures to make this look like a transparent accident investigation. Why Aerei da Trasporto Regionale and BEA were not invited for the 2016 Havelian crash? Pity and sordid affairs of PIA and CAA.

I guess we just have to move on and pray that the conclusions and recommendations reached now are transparent and fair. Rightly or wrongly, there will be people who will find errors in method whatever the conclusions are. Moreover, the curse of rumours and conspiracy theories in Pakistan does not help to clarify anything.arshad.altaf wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 6:54 am As the findings of investigation are leaning towards pilot error, PIA/CAA and the government now taking measures to make this look like a transparent accident investigation. Re: PIA Lahore to Karachi Airbus A320 Flight Crashes
"BEA provided assistance for the accident to the ATR 42-500 registered AP-BHO, operated by Pakistan International Airlines, which occurred on 7 December at Havelian in Pakistan. The collision with the ground, in descent, led to the destruction of the aeroplane and the death of all of the occupants. In coordination with the Investigator-in-Charge from the PSIB, the BEA’s Pakistani counterpart, and with the French Embassy, a visit by the manufacturer ATR’s advisers was organized. The BEA considered that the security conditions were not adequate to send a go-team during the on-site phase. With the agreement of the Investigator-in-Charge, the flight recorders were brought to France for their content to be read out and analyzed by the BEA. The BEA and ATR subsequently participated in various meetings organised in Islamabad by the PSIB, with support provided by the French Embassy."

Aviation Minister Gulam Sarwar Khan during parliament session today informed that preliminary crash investigation report of PK8303 will be presented in the parliament (senate and national assembly) on June 22.
He said that Emirates is operating a large fleet of more than two-hundred aircraft with excellent safety record. PIA with a small fleet of around thirty aircraft frequently experiencing aircraft accidents/incidents is shameful, he said.

PIA plane crash: Aviation minister says degrees, licenses of pilots should be checked
Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan said on Wednesday that the degrees and licenses of pilots should be regularly checked as in the previous tenures ‘fake degrees’ of pilots have been found out.
The aviation minister was addressing the National Assembly, where he said that there has been speculation that the inquiry regarding the ill-fated PIA flight Pk-8303 will not be transparent.
The minister told the House that the voice and data recorder box both have decoded, reiterating that the inquiry will be transparent.
“The incident that took place on May 22, its inquiry report will be presented on June 22 in this very House,” said Sarwar.
He mentioned that in the crashes that earlier happened, the reports were not very clear but in this case, things will have to be brought on the right track.
“Things will become better with assessment and accountability,” said the aviation minister.
The minister gave example of the other international airlines with hundreds of plane and a great number of destinations, lamenting that the PIA has only 31 planes in its fleet but still the incidents take place.
