According to news sources, a British-national passenger of September 16 PIA Islamabad to Manchester flight PK701 was off-loaded after he attempted to bribe officials at Islamabad International Airport. The passenger was also making video at the time of offering bribe to airport officials.
He had been stopped by Pakistan Customs and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) after eighteen boxes of cigarettes were found in his baggage.
On September 16, PIA Boeing 777-200ER (AP-BGJ) departed from Islamabad at 1:26 PM as flight PK701 to Manchester. The flight was scheduled to depart at 12:45 PM.
