Its humiliating and embarrassing to watch PIA planes with such poor quality paint job.

I have never seen any major airline planes in such poor condition.

I had never seen PIA planes in such condition ever before.

Shame shame shame.

The suspension of flights is an excellent opportunity to repaint these aircrafts. And if possible to replace the seat cloths and carpets.

Its better PIA does not re-paint airplanes as it will be money loss again. Aircraft will be painted in the same open/uncontrolled environment as before and the result will be same as of now.

Notice the chipping of paint on top of the fuselage, this is a disgrace for not only the airline but the country and shows substandard practices are being adopted by the airline for maintenance of aircraft.

Aside from looking terrible, aren't there negative effects of chipping paint as well?

Risk of corrosion or rust on the fuselage?

All 777 probably need D and were probably about to be sent for D check but Corona hit. JUst my thought.

Chipping of Paint is not maintenance issue, see countless larger airlines with paint chipping off sometimes but doesn't mean maintenance neglect.

So four 777-200ERs with paint job problem. AP-BGL AP-BMG AP-BMH AP-BGZ.

BGK just came out and repainted so lets see how long that lasts.

Just saw the BHX video that showed the plane landing in Oslo and that aircraft seems fine, wonder when it got painted??

I think PIA must have bought some kind of inferior paint while these four were due for a paint job and hence the chipping off the paint.

Now they have floated a tender to get paint from companies approved by Airbus and Boeing.

Having lost 12 billion in 45 days I wonder what exactly can PIA do to survive as the covid 19 is not going anywhere and seems like normal traveling will not re-start before September 2020.
