PIA Hajj Operation 2019

Karachi, July 3, 2019:
PIA pre-Hajj operation of transporting intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan will commence from July 5, 2019. PIA will transport more than 78,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through nearly 300 flights from Pakistan.

Four pre-Hajj flights that will depart on the first day of pre-Hajj operation on July 5, 2019, include PK-741 from Islamabad, PK-743 from Karachi, PK-759 from Lahore and PK-735 from Peshawar carrying more 1,300 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

CEO PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik will see off the intending pilgrims of the first pre-Hajj Flight from Islamabad.

The pre-Hajj flights will operate from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad and Quetta. The flights from Rahim Yar Khan and Sukkur will operate via Karachi.

All arrangements have been finalized by PIA for the Hajj operation 2019. CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik has instructed PIA Hajj team members to provide best services to the Intending pilgrims.

PIA will operate nearly 300 Hajj and regular scheduled flights to Jeddah and Madinah. The airline will transport:

19,745 intending pilgrims from Karachi through 62 flights.
15,562 intending pilgrims from Lahore through 51 flights.
13,171 intending pilgrims from Islamabad through 46 flights.
10,446 intending pilgrims from Peshawar through 29 flights.
8,350 intending pilgrims from Quetta through 56 flights.
5,077 intending pilgrims from Multan through 21 flights.
4,358 intending pilgrims from Sialkot through 12 flights.
1,549 intending pilgrims from Faisalabad through 17 flights.

For the first time, the Intending Pilgrims will have the facility of completion of all immigration and customs requirement at new Islamabad International Airport. Initially, this facility is only available at Islamabad Airport which has been cleared by the Saudi authorities. More than 10,600 intending pilgrims from Islamabad traveling by PIA on government Hajj scheme will benefit from this facility.

The airline's Pre Hajj operation will conclude on 5th August 2019. The post-Hajj operation of bringing back the Hujjaj from Saudi Arabia will commence from 17th August and conclude on 14th September 2019.

"Makkah Route" facility at Islamabad International Airport. Nearly 22,000 pilgrims traveling from Islamabad Airport will benefit from this facility. The pilgrims will undergo Saudi immigration and customs clearance process at Islamabad Airport and arrive in Saudi Arabia as domestic passengers. Passengers' baggage will be transported by authorities from airport in Saudi Arabia to hotels.

"Makkah Route" counters at Islamabad International Airport serving Hajj pilgrims traveling to Medina on Saudia flight SV-719. The flight carried 350 intending pilgrims.

For Hujjaj at Islamabad International Airport - 2019


In sha Allah, Hajj flight operations at Islamabad International Airport will start from 4th July, 2019. Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) offers best wishes to all the Hujjaj for getting the opportunity to perform Hajj, under 'Road to Makkah', i.e. all Hajj flights departing from Islamabad International Airport will have immigration and customs clearance, at the airport. Hujjaj are requested to come to airport 5-6 hours, before flight departing time.

CAA management at Islamabad International Airport has made special arrangements for the convenience of Hujjaj performing Hajj this year.

The Hujjaj are hereby informed that the security of the airport has been increased to avoid any unpleasant incident and all the Hujjaj will be directed towards International Departures drop lane to enter the airport from Level III.

To ensure the safety and convenience of passengers and avoid congestion at the drop lane, the management at Islamabad International Airport requests the Hujjaj to bring minimum friends and family.

Preferably, the Hujjaj are requested to come in Ahraam and to take care of their baggage and other belongings to make sure that no relevant persons is allowed to handle their luggage.

Your cooperation with Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority will ensure smooth Hajj operations and safety and security of Hujjaj.

PIA Hajj Flights Operation Begins in Lahore

Lahore, July 5, 2019:
PIA Pre-hajj operation of transporting more than 78,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, commenced on Friday.

At Lahore airport, pilgrims were seen off by Air Vice Marshal Noor Abbas, Advisor to CEO PIA, Airport Manager CAA Nazir Ahmed Khan, District Manager PIA Lahore Mr. Omer Nawaz Goraya, Station Manger Ali Asghar Zaidi and officials of PIA.

PIA will operate around 294 flights to Holy land and From Lahore PIA to transport 15,652 intending Hajj pilgrims through 51 flights.

PIA’s on time departures were witnessed at all airports while PIA made special arrangements for intending pilgrims and distributed reading material, umbrellas, travel kits and hand bags to intending pilgrims before departure of Hajj flight.

PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik instructed PIA Hajj Team to provide maximum facilities to intending pilgrims. The Hajj flights will operate from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Rahim Yar Khan and Sukkur.

The airlines Pre Hajj operation will conclude on 5th August 2019. The Post Hajj operating of bringing back the Hujjaj from Saudi Arabia will commence from 17th August and conclude on 14th September 2019.-

First Hajj flight will leave Peshawar for Saudi Arabia today

July 05, 2019


The first Hajj flight with two hundred and sixty-five intending pilgrims on board will leave Peshawar for Saudi Arabia today.

According to Hajj Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a total of thirty-one thousand five hundred intending pilgrims will be airlifted from Bacha Khan International Airport to the holy land in fifty special Hajj flights.

The process of air lifting pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from Peshawar will be completed by the 5th of next month.

Meanwhile,the first flight from Karachi will also depart from Jinnah International Airport to Medina on Friday.

According to a spokesman of PIA the airline would transport nineteen thousand, seven hundred forty five intending pilgrims from Karachi through 62 flights.

The airline's pre-Hajj operation would conclude on 5th of next month.

PIA pre-Hajj flight PK-8015 passengers seen off by Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal at Quetta International Airport.

PIA Airbus A320 (AP-BLA) is performing airline's first pre-Hajj flight from Quetta. The A320 with 150 intending pilgrims on-board departed from Quetta at 10:28 PM as pre-Hajj flight PK-8015 to Medina.

From Faisalabad, PIA Airbus Airbus A320 registration AP-BLS departed at 6:28 AM as flight PK-763 to Jeddah with 108 intending pilgrims. The flight was scheduled to depart at 4:16 AM.

4,700 Intending Pilgrims Flown to Saudi Arabia by PIA

Karachi, July 9, 2019:
PIA has, so far transported more than 4,700 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 21 hajj and regular scheduled flights. PIA spokesman said on Tuesday.

CEO PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik who is personally monitoring the airline’s Hajj operation has instructed the airline’s Hajj team members to provide best services to the intending pilgrims. This year PIA has made special arrangements to provide Travel kits, Bags, Umbrellas and booklets for the pilgrims traveling by PIA, a co-brand initiative in collaboration with Mezaan Bank, Allied Bank and Colgate Palmolive Pakistan Ltd.

PIA has transported around 950 intending pilgrims from Karachi through 5 flights, 1,394 pilgrims from Islamabad through 6 flights, 834 pilgrims from Lahore through 2 flights, 298 from Multan through 2 flights, 110 pilgrims from Faisalabad through 1 flight, 756 pilgrims from Peshawar through 2 flights and 448 intending pilgrims through 3 flights from Quetta.

PIA will transport nearly 78,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The airlines Pre Hajj operation will conclude on 5th August 2019. The Post Hajj operating of bringing back the Hujjaj from Saudi Arabia will commence from 17th August and conclude on 14th September 2019.
