Sialkot Airport Runway Closure for Maintenance/Repairs

Karachi, June 24, 2019: Due to Sialkot airport runway repairs from June 24 – July 3, 2019, a NOTAM issued by CAA Pakistan, PIA has temporarily rescheduled the departure and arrival of its flights from Sialkot airport. The passengers have been informed through PIA Call Centre. PIA spokesman said on Monday.

PK 720 for 30th June for the sector Barcelona –Sialkot will now operate as Barcelona –Islamabad and PK 769 for the sector Sialkot – Paris will operate as Islamabad – Paris. All other flights arrivals and departures from Sialkot airport have been temporarily rescheduled to operate from Lahore till opening of Sialkot airport runway.

PIA spokesman said that though passengers have been informed by PIA call Centre on their contact numbers for temporary change in scheduled departures and arrivals, those passengers who have not provided their contact numbers at the time of booking are requested to contact PIA call Centre at 11 786 786 regarding arrivals and departures of their flights. PIA regrets the inconvenience to its passengers due closure of Sialkot Airport for runway repairs, PIA spokesman concluded.

On June 24, the last flight to land at Sialkot Airport was flydubai Boeing 737-800 (A6-FGH) flight FZ327 from Dubai that landed in Sialkot at 10:13 AM.

Sialkot International Airport Runway 04/22 will remain closed on July 4 also for maintenance & repairs.

Earlier, the runway was due to become available for flight operations on July 4.

Flight operations resumed at Sialkot Airport today. Air Arabia Airbus A320 (A6-AOB) as flight G9551 from Sharjah landed in Sialkot at 2:58 AM.

Sialkot Airport Runway 04/22 will be closed for maintenance work from 7:30 AM on December 18 to 4:59 AM on December 19.

Heavy machinery and manpower will be deployed during runway maintenance work.

Airlines have been advised to revise/adjust their flights schedule accordingly.

Flight operations resumed at Sialkot Airport on February 17 apparently when Emirates Boeing 777-300ER (A6-ECZ) flight EK618 from Dubai landed at Sialkot at 12:07 AM under revised/adjusted timing. Later, PIA flight PK396 from Karachi and flydubai flight FZ337 from Dubai also landed in Sialkot under revised/adjusted timing.

From March 15 to March 31, Sialkot International Airport Runway 04/22 will be closed for maintenance work. Heavy machinery and manpower will be deployed.



International flights to & from Sialkot International Airport already are suspended from March 14 to 31 due to coronavirus fears.

Apparently, it means special flight or emergency landing by any aircraft will not be possible at Sialkot Airport from March 26 to April 16.

From April 13 to April 25, Sialkot International Airport Runway 04/22 will remain closed due to maintenance work. Heavy machinery and manpower will be deployed on runway.



Apparently, it means special flight or emergency landing by any aircraft will not be possible at Sialkot Airport from April 13 to April 25.
