Re: PIA Selling Four Airworthy Airbus A310 Aircraft
Why not convert them into cargo aircraft in order to introduce/ reintroduce PIA freight service?
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion, SubhanAllah

put both leased engine on one aircraft and then sell that.
Its going to lower value when one engine is removed on destination.

In today's (December 6) newspaper:
Extension in Tender Opening Date
This is to inform that all PIA tenders scheduled to be opened on December 12, 2016 will now be opened on December 13, 2016 due to public holiday.
Bids for the sale of four PIA A310s i.e. aircraft registrations AP-BEQ, AP-BGO, AP-BGP and AP-BGR were to be opened on December 12.
The A310 registration AP-BEQ already has left Pakistan to be placed at some museum in Leipzig in Germany. The departure of AP-BEQ from Pakistan before bids opening date is being questioned.

Flew AP-BGO to Karachi on last Thursday morning while return was on AP-BGR same date, both aircrafts were perfectly maintained and looked fine enough in terms of cabin looks. Good Job PIA, these aircrafts never looked that old.

Re: PIA Selling Four Airworthy Airbus A310 Aircraft
47,500 is ridiculously low price. Now PIA should cancel this tender and Deliver each Aircraft to KHI, ISB and UET so that it can be placed jut out side the Airport for general public to view.

Re: PIA Selling Four Airworthy Airbus A310 Aircraft
These are air worthy aircraft. PIA can still use it and the save the money from wet/dry leasing a different aircraft for costs much higher than this was sold for.ammad wrote:47,500 is ridiculously low price. Re: PIA Selling Four Airworthy Airbus A310 Aircraft
I think the old ISB airport better fits for museum. Reason big the old one will no longer be utilized, and PAF will not use it vastly. There PAF can also offer viewing of its planes. Also the airport is closer to the city.Pakistan-1 wrote:The Passenger Apron can be converted into a civil aviation museum after the new airport opensammad wrote:47,500 is ridiculously low price.
