According to Geo News, authorities have launched search operation to find the pilot.
Other news channels claim two bodies found at the crash site. Probably a two-seater trainer Mirage III or Mirage V?
The aircraft wreckage is scattered according to news sources which I think indicates high speed impact with the ground.

Enough with these Mirages now. It is to remind that Mirage-III and Mirage-5, both have completed their shelf life years ago and still being used not grounded but we don't have enough funds to replace them. A sad day indeed. May both pilots receive the highest level in Jannah. Ameen.

Enough funds? Have you even seen a life style of PAF personnel? Have you even seen how cantonment is designed, built and maintained? Have you even noticed the land/plot and bungalows a high rank Army/PAF officer is awarded with after his retirement, the bullet proof Land Cruisers they drive and we still don't have enough funds to give our precious pilots a safe aircraft to fly.Sahil Ali wrote:Enough with these Mirages now. We and the families can just cry for the loss which can never be recovered. RIP Heroes, keep smiling in Jannah!

One should not jump to conclusion without knowing the facts or causes of the crash.Sahil Ali wrote:Enough with these Mirages now. From preliminary information available, the aircraft was part of a multiship training formation when they entered heavy rain and hail. The other three though managed to escape yet suffered hail damage.
Moreover, who said that Mirage fleet has completed thier 'shelf life' years ago. The aircraft are fully airworthy, well equipped and well maintained for the role and task assigned.
And aircraft donot have shel life, these have structural life
Re: Military Aircraft Crashes Near Dera Ismail Khan
Boss, I respect your opinion and I fully acknowledge you have thousand times more knowledge than I have but as you say they are fully airworthy and properly maintained why have we seen Mirages going down so frequently in last 3-4 months and in almost all the cases pilots have lost their lives? With this case, either pilots are not properly trained to handle the situation or there is some serious problem with the aircraft itself.TAILWIND wrote:One should not jump to conclusion without knowing the facts or causes of the crash.Sahil Ali wrote:Enough with these Mirages now. I wish we could discuss this on this open forum. Suffice to say, 'sleep tight your Airforce is awake'
And hats off to thousands of men and women of the PAF who put in thier toil, sweat and blood in the sacred duty of defending motherland.
