Pilot having fake degree but serving PIA
Faisal Younis, Brother of Waqar Younis , having fake degree but working as First Officer in PIA. Wondering what are the implication in this case as PIA spends heavily on training of it's pilots.

Re: Faisal Younis , having fake degree but serving PIA
A person doesn't need a college degree to get a private license. And one gets a commercial license based on having a private license. Hence one does not need a college degree to be a pilot. Even an airline pilot.
In the US, you need to speak English fluently, have a third degree medical certificate and be over the age of 16 to become a private pilot.
But PIA may have the requirement of having a college degree to be its pilot. One would have to look the PIA policy.

Its not a question of job pre-requisites and whether or not a pilot needs some educational degree/qualification. It is the question of propriety and ethical behaviour. Fake educational degree is a crime under law, and how come a person with an alleged crime be entrusted with the lives of passengers and plane.

Why would any airline want to have a pilot behind the control when s/he does cannot understand things which involve physics, maths, other things which are taught in school. If we're going to have uneducated people behind the controls, then it's a disaster waiting to happen.....(Allah bachaye)

I agree with Tailwind. When ever in the past when this verdict was established that he is in Organization with fake credentials to bypass hiring requirement and brought injustice to fellow applicants for same position, H.R. department should immediately terminate his service and make him liable to return all of expenses that PIA incurred for his training and grooming.

See how (as per the news story) PIA officials are trying to save the man.
