PIA Training Centre (PTC) is opening its venue in Rawalpindi.

A seminar with free entry will be held at Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel in Rawalpindi on September 21, 2014, at 9:30 AM for people interested in learning more about the training centre/aircraft maintenance engineering.

PIA Training Centre (PTC) Inaugurated in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, October 15, 2014:
PIA has opened its second training centre in Rawalpindi for imparting training to the youth of Pakistan in the field of aircraft maintenance. The training centre was inaugurated by Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Capt. Shujaat Azeem and senior officials of the airline. On the occasion Shujaat Azeem said that in line with Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, PIA will establish twelve training centres before mid-2015 to reach out to our youth in all major cities and to offer this rewarding opportunity. He said that in two years our youth can earn a respectable livelihood as Senior Technicians and in another three years they can become full-fledged Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME). “It will enable them to grab employment opportunities in airline industry within country and abroad as well”, said Shujaat Azeem. He congratulated PIA management on this accomplishment.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Aviation Capt. Shujaat Azeem inaugurated PIA Training Centre (PTC) in Rawalpindi. The centre is established for imparting training to Pakistani youth in the field of aircraft maintenance. Also seen in the picture is Director Training PIA Amir Al, Principal PTC Sohail Mehmood and officials of the airline.

The airline has already opened a training centre in Lahore and now Rawalpindi with more branches to be opened in all provinces, where two years training shall be imparted in aerospace and avionics.

PIA will launch Nawabshah and Swat wings by the end of November and launch Peshawar and Quetta training centres before 31st December 2014.

PIA since last four decades, is imparting training in all aviation disciplines including Flight Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, Flight Services, Customer Services and airline marketing etc. Training is being provided on all latest aircraft like Boeing 777, Airbus A320 and ATR as well as classic aircraft like Boeing 747, Boeing 737 and Airbus A310.

Recently, PIA Training Centre acquired ANO–147 approval for engineering and maintenance training, being the historic first in Pakistan, no other institute in Pakistan has this certification. PIA Training Centre is ISO 9001:2008 certified and is approved from Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Besides, it also carries worthy status of International Air Transport Association (IATA) authorised training centre for the region.
