^ Information with those aircraft registrations appeared when PIA was planning to lease A320s in year 2013.

See here: viewtopic.php?t=21158&p=145443

Apparently someone changed year and posted that information again on Facebook.

Person who did it forgot to change year 2013 at one place:

The best thing about the 320s is that it won't cause shortage of co-pilots on any aircraft as excess on ATR are being sent.

ISLAMABAD: The matter of acquiring jets by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from a Qatar leasing company has turned controversial as a board member of the airlines Azam Saigol resigned from his post.

In a 3-page resignation letter submitted to the prime minister, Azam Saigol claimed that the matter of planes leasing deal is not transparent, adding that the affairs of PIA is being mismanaged and he do not want to be a part of it.

He further said that the board of directors didn’t fully take him into confidence over the deal for acquiring aircrafts from the Qatar leasing company.

However, PIA spokesman said that Saigol tendered his resignation due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, Peoples Unity President Hidayatullah claimed that Azam Saigol resigned over corruption of Shujaat Azeem.

PIA had floated tenders for acquiring 10 or so planes on dry lease, but its deal with a Qatar-based leasing company Qatar Aviation Lease Company (QALC) could not materialise.
