Re: PIA Flight Academy Pilot Training - Fourth Batch Ad
Hello!
Any idea how much competition a candidate has to face?
What to expect in the medical test? I mean is it as deep as army's?
What is the duration of the course we would be taking?
What are the charges/fee of the entire course?
Thanks.

Re: PIA Flight Academy Pilot Training - Fourth Batch Ad
current ATR pilots are flying 20-25 hours per month.
Do we really need more pilots to join the list of pilots who are not flying.

Re: PIA Flight Academy Pilot Training - Fourth Batch Ad
Those who successfully complete their pilot training course at PIA Flight Academy automatically get selected as PIA Cadet Pilot or do they have to wait for PIA Cadet Pilot selection newspaper advertisement and undergo selection procedure like faced by candidates who complete their training from other flight schools of Pakistan?

No they do not get selected as cadet pilots in PIA.
Induction of cadets is done separately under the vacancy.

Hahaha.Right now PIA training center is in process of training about 110 more pilots . The tradation of keeping the PIA , captions, flight engineers, ground staff happy by inducting their son and nephews by every hooks and crooks method known at PIA ( not their born right though) continues. PIA training center always have tons of free money to burn on pilot training . I dont know why they are doing that , to keep their names in the pilots list or some thing else.Amaad Lone wrote:current ATR pilots are flying 20-25 hours per month.

Guys just to clear everyones confusion here, the above ad is Not a selection ad for Pilots in PIA. PIA has opened up and is maintaining a commercial flying club helps student get a commercial pilots licence and teaches them to learn flying which is all financed by the student. It is not at all a selection ad in PIA. So please don't confuse it with that. PIA training center and PIA flight training academy are two very different things. PIA training center trains pilots who are selected in PIA, while any one can join the PIA flight academy to do a CPL course provided they are medically fit and pay for it. Once they have done their CPL they can apply in PIA once a vacancy is advertised and will then equally compete with students of all flying clubs for the cadet pilot posts in pia.
