PIA Invites Designers for New Cabin Crew Uniform

Seems they will combine work of various designers to make uniform.

the designers who were chosen for the look of 2015 were: Sania Maskatiya (cap), Yasmeen Sheikh (coat), Omar Farooq (menswear) and Nomi Ansari (women’s wear)

Agreed. PKPANL said that the winner's design was just a mix of gulf carriers - well said. Who where the judges anyway? The uniform should reflect the country's culture.

Judges for PIA’s new uniform showcase announced


To judge these fine set of outfits and select the best among all, the PIA Uniform Fashion Showcase has assembled a handful of notable personalities from the entertainment industry to lend their expertise and opinion. These include, Shakil Saigol, Seema Iftikhar, Naz Mansha, Tariq Amin, Shehnaz Ismail, Rabiya Javeri Agha and Zeba Bakhtiar.

Too dark colors. PIA base color 'Green' is totally missing. Current one is more graceful.

It was better to reuse the uniform design used from 1986 to 2003, with a little bit change of color depth.

New uniform for PIA crew

KARACHI: Four of a panel of 16 designers won a spot in history, as their creations would become a part of the PIA crew’s new uniform, a statement said on Tuesday.

Sania Muskatiya’s cap design won her the top spot, while Yasmeen Shaikh’s coats grabbed the first place; Umar Farooq and Nomi Ansari won in the men’s and women’s wear, respectively, it said.

Sixteen top-notch designers from across Pakistan gathered on Monday evening to submit their designs for the new uniform of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) crew. This was a rare feat that gave the national flag carrier a complete image makeover, it said.

So, I think we'll have to wait to see official PIA press release with photo of finalized uniform design made by merging and altering various designs and their colours that were presented at March 16 show.
