Multan International Airport new terminal building photographed from PIA Boeing 737-300 (AP-BCF) by Arfan Fida.
At least two passenger boarding bridges are visible in this photo. Procurement of two additional boarding bridges in the recent CAA notice means the new terminal building will have at least four boarding bridges.

Re: CAA To Upgrade Multan International Airport
Copied the above from an earlier post.October 2010 is set as target for completion of project's Phase-I which includes runway extension/expansion work to allow widebody aircraft flights. The runway length will be extended to 10,500 feet with width increased to 150 feet under Phase-I of the project.
The 7000ft length of airport runway is expected to be ready by the end of February 2010 to allow resumption of Boeing 737-300 service for the airport.
June 2012 is set as target for completion of project's Phase-II which includes construction of airport terminal building, cargo complex/building and cold storage facility, car park etc.
As its not quite June 2012 yet. Does any one know, the latest, when will the new terminal etc likely be operational.
I also remember reading somewhere that some caries (Qatar/emirates) were interested to fly to the new Multan airport. Can anyone shed any further light. thanks
